On August 7, 2015 the Children’s Services Coalition, in cooperation with the Washington University Brown School of Social Work, sponsored a free ethics workshop that fulfilled the Ethics Requirement for Social Work Licensure. After screening of the American Winter film and a keynote address by Heather Lockard (MO Association for Community Action), there was a panel discussion moderated by Melinda Ohlermiller (Nurses for Newborns).

Panelists: Dr. Tiffiany Anderson (Superintendent, Jennings School District), Tishaura Jones (City of St. Louis), Dottie Kastigar (Community Council of St. Charles County), and Gary Wells (Operation Food Search)

Over 100 people from a broad cross section of area nonprofits attended the event. A follow-up survey found that participants were very positive about the event. Here are links to two resources requested by some of the participants, a bibliography compiled by Nancy Spargo (St. Louis Center for Familly Development) and Heather Lockart’s PowerPoint presentation.
