DEAF Inc. (Deaf Empowerment Awareness Foundation)

Deaf Empowerment Awareness Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created by deaf individuals. The mission of DEAF, Inc. is to Empower, raise Awareness, and bridge a sustainable Foundation of communication and equal access to both the deaf/hard of hearing and the hearing communities in the St. Louis metro area. The organization’s primary vision is to provide services for deaf/hard of hearing, hearing individuals, and the community in the St. Louis metro area as a whole to ensure effective communication and cultural awareness. This purpose is accomplished through a meaningful unity of community outreach, training, education, advocacy, media, visual arts, and interpreting. DEAF, Inc. provides high-quality interpreting services in an effort to enable the deaf and hard of hearing to freely interact with the mainstream society.

Easter Seals Midwest (formerly Life Skills)

Easter Seals Midwest helps individuals with developmental disabilities – including autism – learn, live, work and participate in the community. The agency operates three distinct divisions through which individualized services are delivered: Community Living, Employment Services and Autism Services.  Serving more than 4,200 individuals in 95 counties across the state, the organization employs more than 1,300 staff members, operates more than 10 office locations and has a budget of nearly $40 million.  The agency believes that all people should be treated with dignity and respect, and be valued for their contributions, regardless of their disabilities.

Miriam is the only comprehensive resource in the St. Louis region for children with learning disabilities  Miriam offers year-round educational, diagnostic and therapeutic services for ages 3-18.

St. Louis Arc

Formed by a merger of The Belle Center into the St. Louis Arc, Belle Children’s Services of St. Louis Arc unites the Arc’s current children’s programs with Belle’s successful early intervention services. From parent and child classes that help families learn about services… to inclusive preschool experiences…to programs for elementary and high school students, Belle Children’s Services is part of the continuum of Arc services that help children and families as long as there is a need.
