Safe Connections specializes in preventing and ending relationship and sexual violence by providing comprehensive services before, during and after violence occurs. We deliver violence prevention education services to middle school, high school and college students to help them develop relationships free from abuse. Our Crisis Helpline is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We offer individual and group therapy services to women and teens dealing with domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse or harassment related to sexual orientation and/or gender identity. All our services are provided free of charge and with no imposed time limits.
SLCN provides emergency respite care for children, birth through age 12, whose families are experiencing a crisis. We provide counseling, resource referrals, home visitation, parenting education groups and community outreach to families with young children.
The Women’s Safe House is a place of temporary refuge and support for women and their children escaping violence or abusive situations, such as domestic violence or sexual assault. The house is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and staffed with a 24-hour crisis line. Our facility holds 50 to 55-beds; the largest domestic violence shelter in St. Louis. Also, we are the only agency in MO to accept male children up until the age of 18. We also offer a 12-month aftercare program as well.
