Bilingual International Assistant Services

School Based Mental Health, Counseling, Mental Health Services

Founded by former refugee women in 2002 to address the behavioral health and social service gap for foreign-born and Limited English Proficient individuals in the St. Louis area. In addition to a broad service portfolio for older adults and survivors of torture and war trauma, Bilingual International provides trauma-focused counseling to refugee and immigrant children in multiple area school districts. Clinicians are often bilingual and are always experienced in working with the agency's pool of professional interpreters. The agency mission is to ensure equal access to healthcare, mental health, and social services for all, regardless of national origin or language ability, through the advocacy, education, and direct multilingual services that we provide.
